Good Vibrations Partners With Regional Nonprofit Centers

SAN FRANCISCO — Good Vibrations has announced its new nonprofit partners for the spring season.

From February through April, the company is supporting the Women's Community Clinic in San Francisco, the Berkeley Free Clinic in Berkeley, ACCESS Women's Justice in Oakland, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in Palo Alto, and the Brookline Community Mental Health Center in Brookline through financial contributions.

Good Vibrations' customers can support these regional nonprofits in Good Vibrations' San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Palo Alto and Brookline stores by making a financial gift at the time of their purchase in any Good Vibrations retail stores.

The company said 100 percent of all contributions go to the nonprofit of the consumer’s choice. Online shoppers can contribute directly at checkout and learn more about their donations program on the GiVe Partner page. Good Vibrations will also give proceeds of store sales to the nonprofit partners on its 37th birthday on March 19.

"We are delighted to partner with our regional nonprofit organizations that serve the communities that we are a part of,” Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen said.

She added, “For more than 36 years, Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national non-profit organizations. By donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers, along with a percentage of retail sales, we have provided much needed support for women's shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, sexuality education, disaster relief and much more. We are proud of that legacy and glad to continue."

Good Vibrations noted that The Women's Community Clinic believes preventive, educational care is essential to lifelong health and that all women deserve excellent health care, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Berkeley Free Clinic was founded in 1969 and has served thousands during its 44-year history, offering free healthcare services, materials, medications and supplies, while ACCESS Women's Justice in Oakland helps women to achieve reproductive justice through a combination of direct services, community education, and policy advocacy.

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte provides preventative health care to 3 million women across the country offering birth control, breast and cervical cancer screening, STD testing and treatment and HIV testing among other crucial preventative health care and information services. The Brookline Community Mental Health Center serves individuals and families experiencing adverse life circumstances and mental health issues.
