TheContentStore Adds Classic, Ethnic/Gay Titles

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — True to its name, TheContentStore.com has beefed up its adult content offerings with the addition of titles in the ‘70s classic, vintage and ethnic gay niches.

TheContentStore owner Jonathan Silverstein said the recent additions cover three lines from GMI Films: 48 titles from the Historic Erotica line and 14 from the Blatino Connection and East Harlem Productions lines.

According to Silverstein, all titles licensed in the deal are exclusive to TheContentStore.

“I'm extremely happy with this new studio acquisition,” Silverstein said. “With legendary names like John Holmes, Vanessa Del Rio, Seka, Annie Sprinkle and Candy Samples, we're tapping into a content niche that was formerly impossible for most webmasters to find elsewhere. These classic/vintage DVDs dating from the 1920s-1960s were all transferred from archival print so they sustain the same look and feel that some surfers remember seeing in their younger years.”

While technically niche content, Silverstein said he believes the classic/vintage titles will have widespread appeal for users.

“Personally, I think there are so many men of the age to remember this type of content that every site should have a classic/vintage section to either appeal to those guys or keep them interested once they've already joined,” he said.

GMI Films owner Dave Copeland said he found a partner in Silverstein to take his content online after a proven track record in the DVD market.

“Historic erotica has been our core business for almost 20 years,” Copeland said. “We have literally over 100 years of film with the biggest stars from the classic era. I feel that working with TheContentStore.com is an excellent opportunity for exposure that we just couldn’t pass up. What you see here is just a start of what's yet to come.”

Silverstein said he continues to scour the adult landscape for more exclusive content to offer webmasters.
