LOS ANGELES — Golden-era adult film actress Amber Lynn has mixed explosive ingredients together — namely rock music and adult entertainment — for her latest foray into talk radio, Rock ’N’ SeXXXy—Uncensored, which airs tonight on LATalkRadio.com.
“Porn stars and rock stars have always had a really good marriage of the personalities — though I don’t mean that in the literal sense,” Lynn told XBIZ. “We were always colliding.”
Lynn, who entered the biz in 1983, says she has met some very, very interesting people on her long, rollercoaster ride of a career. She believes that the continued mainstreaming of porn, and the cross-industry battle against piracy, will bring in guests who may have shied away from the XXX crowd in the past.
“I’ve always been a rebel and rocker and a porn star, and those people are my crowd. And that’s who we need,” Lynn said.
Launched only in mid-December, RNSU already has an impressive roster of guests that includes Janine Lindemulder, Seka, Tera Patrick, Ron Jeremy, members from the So-Cal hardcore punk band T.S.O.L., Bobbie Brown (from Warrant's "Cherry Pie" video), Channel Zero, and Athena Kottack, drummer and little sister of Motley Crue's Tommy Lee.
According to Lynn, the qualifier “Uncensored” is far from decorative: “[My show has] that same crazy irreverence that Howard Stern has. Like you never know what’s going to be said,” describing how Bobbie Brown “went off” recounting her relationship with her former fiancée Tommy Lee.
RNSU’s producer Joanne Cachapero (who goes by the moniker JoJo on the show) agrees, but says that Lynn’s show boasts even boobs that lady fiend Stern.
“Amber is pretty blunt and straightforward with the questions that listeners want to hear the answers to,” Cachapero told XBIZ. “The guests have all responded really well and had a good time on the show.”
Currently RNSU is developing a video portion to the show, so that fans can see the action that they are hearing. In the meanwhile, fans already have the opportunity to call directly into the show and add to the uninhibited vibe. And because the show is broadcast online, it draws listeners literally from the far corners of the earth.
“We have a caller that calls in every week from Dubai — he adores Amber and he's an awesome fan,” Cachapero relates. “When he calls, whoever the guest is, they're usually impressed that someone's calling all the way from the Middle East. It is flattering that he calls every single week . We should make him part of the show.”
Fans can tune into Rock ’N’ SeXXXy—Uncensored tonight at 7 p.m. on LATalkRadio.com.
But RNSU isn’t going anywhere. The one-hour show has a regular spot on the network every Thursday.
Lynn emphatically wills the future, “Six months from now, were going to be doing the same thing, only better. There will be more bands. And there’s going to be more famous bands.”
