NEW YORK — CockyBoys has kicked off an international book tour in support of their collaborative new book with Bruno Gmunder, titled “A Thing of Beauty” after the Cockyboy’s film of the same name released last year.
The CockyBoys crew, including owner/director Jake Jaxson, director of photography RJ Sebastian and Benny Moorecock, and CockyBoys exclusive performers Jake Bass, Max Ryder and Levi Karter will be attending the series of events that began last week in NYC.
Reaching the top ten list of photography books on Amazon in its first week of release, “A Thing of Beauty” features photos by RJ Sebastian, a forward about the CockyBoys brand by Kevin Smith and behind-the-scenes photos from Jake Jaxson.
“To say that I am excited is an understatement,” Sebastian said. “I am so grateful to my partner Jake Jaxson for this collaboration, in which we are both able to share our passions, his story telling and my photography. I am also grateful to our publisher Bruno Gmunder for their unconditional support. This photo book, this snapshot at a moment in our lives, could not and would not be possible without the passionate support of the fans.
The crew will be heading to Berlin, Paris, London and Chicago (at a fan appreciation event on Grabby weekend), where fans can have the book autographed and meet the men behind CockyBoys.
The tour also marks Ryder, Bass and Karter’s first reunion since the filming of “RoadStrip” last year. Coinciding with the series is the global release of “RoadStrip” on DVD and every copy of the book “A Thing of Beauty” comes with a movie poster from the film.
“I'm thrilled to be embarking on this tour with RJ, Benny, Max, Jake and Levi,” Jaxson said. “It's hard to believe that three years have passed since I was filming Max, Jake and Levi in ‘RoadStrip.’ So many positive things have happened since then and with this book tour I want it to be a celebration of all the things we've accomplished, and I don't think there is a better way to do it than to share in the celebration with our fans who have made it all possible.”
The next event will be held April 19 at Brunos Store Berlin in Berlin. The team is then heading to Paris April 23 for a meet-and-greet at Les Mots a La Bouche bookstore from 8-10 p.m.
Private RSVP events in London and Chicago are slated for April 17 and May 23, respectively. Details will be forthcoming.
