CHINO, Calif. — California Exotic Novelties on Wednesday announced a partnership with Boston University in a joint effort to further promote sexual wellness.
Mini massagers and flyers about Club CalExotics — the company’s online community which is a resource for information about sex, intimacy, and pleasure products — are being donated to the Boston University Wellness Program Kits.
The Kits are designed to offer students educational materials about sexual well-being, contraception, STDs, and other topics like stress management and sleep hygiene. Last semester the outreach involved more than 2,000 students.
Susan Colvin, president and CEO of California Exotic Novelties, remarked, “We applaud Boston University and their commitment to sexual wellness. Their mission aligns with ours, which is to help educate and inform the public about sex-related topics and health. We thank them for asking us to be a part of the Wellness Program Kits initiative, and wish them great success!”
Katharine Mooney, wellness coordinator in the Office of Wellness and Prevention Services at Boston University, said, “We believe that sexual health and healthy relationships are key components of student well-being, and the Wellness Program Kits provide an educational opportunity for students to learn about risks related to sexual activity, how students can enjoy sex safely, and where they can access resources on the Boston University campus. We thank Susan Colvin and California Exotic Novelties for their contribution!”
