JAIPUR, India — Crossover Bollywood star Sunny Leone will be seen as this season’s MTV "Splitsvilla" host alongside Nikhil Chinappa set to air June 14.
The reality show revolves around young men and women trying to secure a place in Splitsvilla, where they compete to find love. The “hunt for love” show sees the contestants compete in tasks to stay in the competition and mingle with others to find love.
Leone said she has taken a month break from filming her next release, “Tina and Lolo” to shoot the reality show in Jaipur, India.
Splitsvilla is known for being a youth-branded show with mass sex appeal. MTV and Leone together hope to bring the show to an all-time ratings high.
Sherlyn Chopra — the first woman in India to pose completely nude for Playboy magazine, hosted the last season of Splitsvilla.
"It's a fun show focusing on the youth and one of the biggest and most watched shows. I'm excited to be a part of it and I hope people will love me in my new avatar as well," Leone said.
The new addition to her career bolsters Leone’s mainstream reputation. The Economic Times recently lauded her as a new breed of digital guru who uses social media — and the power of her adult reputation — to help vault her global success.
