Christopher Thais Named JRL’s President of Programming

LOS ANGELES — Christopher Thais, longtime executive with Marina Pacific Distribution, has been named president of programming for the gay adult film company JRL. Thais, who had spent over 12 years at Marina Pacific, including five years as that company’s vice president, made the move to JRL because of the firm’s recent track record.

“Watching JRL grow over the past two years and seeing where they are going with both JRLChartsOnline.com and Gay Internet Radio Live, I saw the opportunity that I just couldn’t resist,” Thais said.

Thais’ duties at JRL will include overseeing daily programming, future industry projects, retail campaigns for advertisers and marketing strategy for both JRL and G.I.R.L., the company’s offshoot business.

“We are quite lucky to have been able to negotiate a good deal with Christopher and we are all excited at what he is going to bring here to JRL and G.I.R.L.,” said Ralph Wilmacheck, chairman and president of JRL Communications.

Thais’ experience with Marina Pacific included responsibility for the marketing of Pitbull Productions, Helix Studios, Active Duty, Eboys Studios, Jet Set Team, Centaur Films, S.E.V.P. and the remainder of the 40 production companies that Marina Pacific distributes.

“Christopher is still a member of our family in our hearts here at Marina Pacific,” Nick Boyias, chairman and CEO of Marina Pacific, said.
