X-Play to Unveil 'Innocent: Not Traci Lords XXX' in September

LOS ANGELES — Director Will Ryder and X-Play on Wednesday announced plans to release a new parody in September that pays homage to the so-called Golden Age of porn.

For this parody, X-Play said, "the year is 1984 as porn superstars Ginger Lynn, Amber Lynn, Christy Canyon, Bunny Bleu, Nina Hartley, Kristara Barrington, Nina DePonca and a very young Traci Lords are all portrayed" in the movie titled "Innocent: Not Traci Lords XXX."

"I'm pretty certain to my knowledge nothing like this has ever been done and fans of classic porn will love this modern look at a bygone era," said Ryder, whose "Grease XXX" won Best Parody - Comedy at the 2014 XBIZ Awards in January.

"I gave the project my blessing because it's an honor to have them do this," Amber Lynn said.

"The 80s was such an amazing time in porn," remarked veteran director Roy Karch, who served as a historical consultant on the movie.

"When Traci Lords came along, things went from illegal and exciting to a hundred miles an hour and then instantly off the tracks when the industry ran into a brick wall. It was a very serious time in our business."

Ryder said "Innocent": Not Traci Lords XXX" sets out to take viewers back to "perhaps the greatest era of adult moviemaking."

"I had the opportunity to meet some of these stars in the early 1980s when I produced music for porn movies and I just loved them," Ryder said. "At the time it was like meeting the Beatles and Amber Lynn was particularly tantalizing. Just fabulous."

Full details including cast members will be announced during the upcoming weeks.
