American Xcess Taps Director Nic Cramer

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Distribution company American Xcess has signed a deal with director Nic Cramer, who has returned from his filming hiatus.

Under the terms of the deal, Cramer will direct several feature films for American Xcess on a non-exclusive basis through 2007. He also will handle several of the company’s gonzo lines over the same time period.

“We found out Nic Cramer was available and directing again so we jumped at the opportunity,” American Xcess General Manager Harry Jose said “We’re very excited to have Nic Cramer direct for us. He has a longstanding reputation as one of the industry’s premiere directors and is known for his consistent quality work and skilled craftsmanship. He is one of the top directors in adult and his movies are always solid, so having him on our team will help elevate American Xcess further in the adult industry.”

Cramer, who has been in adult entertainment for 15 years, said he was excited about making his return to the industry with American Xcess.

“American Xcess is one of the most promising and exciting new companies in the adult industry today, so I am tickled pink to get this opportunity to contribute as a filmmaker and be part of a team once again,” Cramer said.

According to Cramer, one aspect of the American Xcess offer that intrigued him was the chance to shoot gonzo.

“With critical success and winning a few AVN awards for my features, I have always been known as a feature director, not really as a gonzo filmmaker,” he said. “[That’s] a pigeon-hole label that has been somewhat limiting for my work in the adult world. This directing deal with American Xcess gives me a chance to shoot gonzo lines as well as features, which will give me the opportunity to prove once and for all that I can shoot hot and nasty gonzo content too.”
