txtNation Powers Blind Date Event

LONDON – London’s Leicester Square was home recently to the world’s biggest blind date, bringing together hundreds of couples using a distinctly hi-tech Cupid’s arrow – SMS text messaging. Organized by dating service Smartdater and powered by txtNation’s leading mobile technology platform, mFUSION, the large scale event was the first of its kind to use the text message as a way to find love.

Featured on ITV’s London Tonight bulletin, the event attracted the attention of over 600 men and women across the city. By sending a simple text, individuals could register their interest before Smartdater matched couples together, informing them of their date via text.

Movies and Dates, specialists in bringing like-minded people together to watch films and to drink and relax at an exclusive afterparty, hosted the event.
