NEW YORK – The Pleasure Chest will bring its Gloryhole gala to New York on Saturday, Sept. 27, 8-10 p.m., in celebration of its 43rd anniversary.
Gloryhole, which was attended by more than 3,000 people in West Hollywood last year, will blend the grit of New York’s old school sex industry and kink scene with the high-end, intimate atmosphere of The Pleasure Chest’s Upper East Side flagship location, the company said.
The event will feature impact and bondage demos by Felice Shays, a bootblacking station, and an exhibition of over forty photographs from “Leather Women – A Photographic Documentary” and other Leather community photos by C. Creane Images.
Central to the festivities will be the Gloryhole installation by local artist Jesse Harold, which will offer live demonstrations. The event will include a spanking demo by the New York City girls of Leather (NYCgoL), boylesque by Johnny Panic, burlesque/muscle manipulation by Jantina, and more. DJ Shomi Noise will be providing the music, and Ricardo Nelson will be photographing the event. Wine, champagne, and refreshments will be provided.
“Gloryhole is our way of celebrating the communities that we’ve served for the last forty-three years, and inviting them to celebrate with us,” said Kristen Tribby, the Pleasure Chest’s Director of Creative Development and Strategy. “We’re so excited to be bringing this event to New York, where it all began.”
Gloryhole will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 8-10 p.m.. Admission is free; no reservations required. The Pleasure Chest Upper East Side is located at 1150 2nd Ave. For more information, visit PleasureChest.com.
