Utherverse CEO Brian Shuster to Keynote XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce industry luminary and noted technologist, Utherverse CEO and founder Brian Shuster is its “Visionary Keynote” for the XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference, presented by CECash, and slated for Jan. 14-16.

Attendees will find Shuster’s keynote address colored by his insights and engaging personality an inspiring highlight of the XBIZ 360 event.

A pioneer in both adult entertainment and web technologies, Shuster started his first adult entertainment company, XPics.com, in 1996, growing it to more than 60,000 affiliates and more than 2 million paying subscribers during the heyday of the online adult industry.

In 2003 Shuster founded Utherverse Inc., a leading developer of the 3D web, including RedLightCenter.com, the world’s largest adult virtual world. Shuster also is behind the Virtual World Web (VWW), which consists of more than 145,000 independently owned and operated virtual businesses, and is the founder of the annual Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention (AEVC). He has been issued more than 35 patents, covering technologies that are used by countless websites today, and developed the first 3D Internet browser, Curio, allowing everyone to take part in the 3D web.

Shuster told XBIZ that the playing field is rapidly changing for the world of online adult entertainment, and that his keynote will focus heavily on the future, revealing his insights into the opportunities ahead.

“This year promises to usher in the beginning of the most significant new technological changes to the adult industry since the introduction of the World Wide Web in the mid-1990s,” Shuster told XBIZ. “These sweepingly disruptive innovations and products will open the doors for new opportunities, but they will also lay waste to established business models and companies.”

“Big changes are coming,” Shuster added, “and I’m excited to be discussing what is in store and how attendees should prepare for it when I deliver my keynote at XBIZ 360 in Hollywood.”

For its part, XBIZ welcomes Shuster to the stage and anticipates a forward-looking view of the digital media landscape ahead as new markets and emerging technologies come into play.

“It’s a tremendous privilege to have one of the top, most progressive minds of our business share his unique vision with our audience,” said Alec Helmy, XBIZ’ founder, president and publisher, adding, “With disruptive technologies in emergence and Brian’s proven foresight for what’s well ahead, his keynote is bound to be incredibly fascinating for everyone.”

Some of that inspiration will come from Shuster’s experiences guiding the evolution of the Red Light Center virtual world, which is currently rolling out its latest software upgrades to keep up with market demand — improving the technology powering virtual conventions and other online events. For Red Light Center, it is a matter of continually enhancing the user experience until the utopian ideal of fully immersive media (and believable sex) is obtained by consumers.

“Brian is an enthusiastic evangelist for bleeding-edge technologies, with keen insights into the future of connected interactivity and immersion,” says XBIZ’ Stephen Yagielowicz. “His thoughtful analysis of current and future opportunities in adult entertainment will provide invaluable guidance for entrepreneurs moving beyond the limitations of traditional adult entertainment.”

Shuster’s keynote is just one example of the range of ideas and voices that XBIZ provides to XBIZ 360 attendees, delivering the pieces to the puzzle of succeeding in the business of adult entertainment today.

The 2015 edition of the XBIZ 360 series of industry events will take over the Andaz Hotel on Hollywood’s famed Sunset Strip from January 14-16. Bringing together top industry executives along with entrepreneurs from around the world to explore the future of the multibillion-dollar adult entertainment industry, XBIZ 360 encompasses seven individual events and related conferences that are tailored to the digital media, movie production, retail and pleasure products markets, for the most comprehensive showcase of industry insights presented in one place.

The XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference offers in-depth analysis of the latest technology, along with timely educational sessions, and informational workshops discussing recent changes impacting the adult industry, and how companies are strategically positioning themselves by adapting to the latest market trends. In addition to its many educational components, XBIZ 360 also offers a wide range of networking opportunities, along with the atmosphere and entertainment that only Hollywood can provide.

XBIZ 360 peaks with the adult industry’s biggest, most prestigious star-studded red carpet gala of the year — the 2015 XBIZ Awards show — presented by Fleshlight, and hosted by adult star James Deen.

For a limited time only, XBIZ 360 attendees qualify for an exclusive group rate of only $199 per night for rooms at the official event venue, Hollywood’s chic Andaz Hotel.
