ModelCentro Celebrates 1st Anniversary in Business

CYBERSPACE — ModelCentro, a hosted CMS platform for solo sites, is celebrating its first birthday on Dec. 11.

The platform reports that it has been well-received since its inception a year ago, with more than 2,000 models joining and a 2015 XBIZ Award nomination for Innovative Web Product of the Year.

Vanilla DeVille, Gina Devine, Lexi Lowe, Little Red Bunny, Angel Long and Vanessa Blue are a few of the industry stars who have built their sites on ModelCentro.

The system provides models with tools for site creation and management, including hosting, billing, design, domains and live cams, while the model’s domain, site and content remain his/her property.

It’s free to start up and the model keeps the majority of the revenues, the company said.

"There is nothing more empowering than being self-employed and in control of your own business,” said Stan D’Aman, ModelCentro’s founder. “This is one of the many reasons ModelCentro was created — as models were consistently being haggled out of business or simply didn’t have the resources and revenue required when developing a website from scratch. We wanted to provide them the opportunity take control of their future."

Over the course of ModelCentro's first 12 months, several unique features and business relationships were implemented to make it easier for models to create and run their own websites, including “Tip Me” and “Call Me” pages and blog and calendar functionality added to model sites, affiliate programs for model sites; SkyPrivate and Streamate integration, new and improved dashboard functions; and more.

To celebrate its first birthday, ModelCentro is running a Twitter contest. To enter, models need to tweet #HappyBirthdayModelCentro with a picture of themselves holding a "Happy Birthday ModelCentro!" fan sign. The three pictures deemed most creative will receive prizes.
