Stockroom Launches Kinklab Bondage Line

LOS ANGELES — Looking to give brick-and-mortar retailers a new look and bring in less experienced consumers, online sex toy company Stockroom.com has launched a new line of bondage gear under the new Kinklab banner.

Stockroom.com Marketing Director Juli Crockett told XBIZ the premise behind the new line is to establish a new brand that gives consumers Stockroom-quality gear, while helping retailers sell a distinct product.

“We wanted to create a smart, sexy, easy-to-use line that would attract the curious but still satisfy hardcore BDSM players,” Crockett said. “A lot of people might be interested in bringing a little leather to their sex life, but it can be cost prohibitive and some of the gear looks really intimidating. KinkLab breaks both those barriers with its design and super-seductive price point. In an ideal world, KinkLab will help would-be adventurers to take the leap into a new world of erotic play.”

To entice novice consumers to sample kink gear, Crockett said the company worked hard to package and redesign its toys.

“We’ve made changes to some of our existing products for Kinklab,” she said. “These products are definitely a step-up in terms of seriousness. But we did what we had to do to meet price points that were friendly to consumers and design sleek packaging.”

The Kinklab line of products, which Crockett said include everything a fetish enthusiast needs, employ transparent packaging aimed at giving consumers a look inside before the buy.

In addition to packaging, Crockett also said Kinklab’s products range from softer colors and less intimidating gear, to leather goods, paddles and spreaders that cater to a more experienced consumer.
