NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Doc Johnson’s own Chad Braverman and Scott Watkins were recognized at the 2015 XBIZ Executive Awards show, respectively honored with the “Senior Leadership Award” and “Progressive Leadership Award.”
Founded in 1976, Doc Johnson is the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of pleasure products, with an extensive catalog of more than 2,000 products for men, women and couples. Doc Johnson is most renowned for its best-selling products including Lucid Dreams vibrators, the Rabbit, and discreet Pocket Rocket.
The 2015 XBIZ Executive Awards ceremony was held at a special XBIZ 360 executive dinner event in the penthouse of Hollywood’s chic Andaz Hotel on January 14. The event celebrated individuals who have achieved outstanding success while acting as a driving force in the adult industry.
“I just want to thank everyone here,” Scott Watkins, Doc Johnson’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said in his acceptance speech. “You guys are all friends, so I’m truly honored to be recognized by my fellow colleagues that I respect so much. I want to thank the entire Doc Johnson team.”
The Senior Leadership Award was among the event’s highlights, with Doc Johnson founder Ron Braverman making a surprise appearance from behind the XBIZ Executive Awards stage to offer a special introduction for his son.
“When I was asked to be here I realized the real affirmation is giving this award to my son — to know that he is being recognized,” Ron Braverman said. “Chad is really the face of the modern day Doc Johnson. As many have said over the years, the packaging, the branding, the products are really the face of Chad.”
“I grew up in this industry with a lot of the people in this room tonight,” Doc Johnson COO Chad Braverman said in his acceptance speech. “Watching the adversity that my father faced along with the other pioneers of this industry instilled a lot in me, to work hard and take this company into the future.”
“It’s something that’s near and dear to my heart,” Chad added, “and I will continue to fight hard for it.”
