LOS ANGELES — Penny Pax stars in "The Submission of Emma Marx — Boundaries," out today from New Sensations.
The Jacky St. James-directed film is a follow up to 2013's "The Submission of Emma Marx," with Pax returning in the eponymous lead role.
Pax said her performance in the original Emma Marx earned her the award for Best Actress — Feature at the 2014 XCritic awards, as well as an XBIZ nomination.
"It was so much fun being Emma Marx again and working for an artist like Jacky. She knows exactly what she wants but also gives me the leeway to make the character my own," Pax said.
St. James added, "'The Submission of Emma Marx' was the most successful feature (both in sales and in awards) that our studio has released, and there’s a lot of pressure that comes with writing and directing a sequel to a highly successful first installment. Sequels seldom do as well as their predecessor, but I’m always up for a challenge and that was why I agreed to write and direct this film."
