Alexander Maassen, a local official from the Berlin branch of the CDU, was asked to leave the party by branch chairman Kurt Wansner. Massen appeared in sexually explicit scenes and served as a narrator in the film “Beauty Gang.”
“I wrote to Maassen at the end of last month asking him to resign,” Wansner told Reuters. “For me, the matter is now completely closed.”
Maassen disagreed with Wansner’s assessment of his dismissal and offered an explanation of his porn past. He said the party’s decision to expel him was because he wrote critical articles about the CDU’s performance in recent elections.
Additionally, Maassen was to stand toe-to-toe against Wansner in an upcoming party leadership election and suggested this was his rival’s way of eliminating the competition.
“Unfortunately I was not quite well that day,” Maassen said of his day as a porn star. “I didn't quite do ‘it,’ if you know what I mean.”
