Rapture Unveils Latest Bondage Apparatus

LOS ANGELES — Rapture Novelties has introduced the Triangular Bondage Rig, the latest restraint from its XBIZ Award-winning line of BDSM and fetish gear.

The rig is comprised of a triangular arrangement of cuffs, shackles and a stainless steel collar. Each piece is connected by a two-bar or polished stainless steel.

Rapture said the product is a complete bondage set that will hold a person in a secure and fixed spread-open position. It includes Rapture’s silicon-lined, steel-band wrist cuffs and shackles that offer comfort and security. The focal piece is the neck collar, which is also forged from polished stainless steel.

In addition, the rig features two polished stainless steel tubes, 27.5 inches long (70cm), that are welded to the neck collar and extend out in a triangular arrangement to connect with the wrist cuffs and shackles.

The set includes all of the interconnecting hardware and locks. Each of the cuffs and shackles are configured in an oval form for a snug fit on the wrist and ankle and can be adjusted, according to Rapture VP of Sales Lewis Adams. The steel bands allow them to be molded with a slight pressure to each individual user. The solid neck collar is fixed at 17.5 inches, which is designed to fit most people.

The set is packaged in a reusable black velvet bag that can be used to store and transport the set.

The item builds on its existing steel-band cuff and shackle product line. The cuff and shackle pieces can be disconnected from connecting tubes, thus offering additional "versatility and customer value," Adams noted.

“I’m always excited when we roll out a new piece of gear," Adams told XBIZ. "We try very hard to create pieces that are not available in the market. Like our Six-Piece Spreader Bar Set. There are other spreader bars available, but not a polished, surgical-grade stainless-steel set of six in different lengths. This Triangular Bondage Rig is just the latest unique piece we are offering.”

Adams added, “We have other unique pieces coming out later in 2015. All made of our same polished, surgical-grade stainless steel.”

Rapture won the 2014 XBIZ Award for Best BDSM Products Company.
