NEW YORK — TMZ.com offered a sneak peek today of Coco Austin’s Cocolicious Lingerie line from Rene Rofe, which will launch at the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas with an appearance by the reality TV star/Internet sensation herself.
Austin also will make an appearance at ILS’ fashion show on Monday, March 30 to introduce attendees to her 22-piece collection that ships to retailers on June 1.
According to Rene Rofe Creative Director Wilson Kello, “The range is comprised of fishnet string bikinis, seamless dresses, tops, skirts, and leggings with sexy slashes and cutouts, bad-ass bras, body stockings, panties, thigh-highs, and a few wild styles which defy categorization.”
“Coco and her team sought to partner with a seasoned industry leader to insure that her vision could be realized, and insure that the right partnerships would be made to get the product into the market,” Kello told XBIZ. “From our perspective, the opportunity to work with Coco and her team is one we simply couldn’t pass up.”
In a behind-the-scenes, which can be viewed here, Austin models pieces from the Cocolicious Lingerie line, twerks and tells her fans, “You guys have been asking for this for years and I did it — I came out with a bad-ass line!”
According to the company, Austin is not just the face of her brand — she’s the creator. She designed the line, conceptually and physically, personally fitting every piece to ensure the final product meets her standards.
Austin also will play a significant role in the marketing of her line, Kello said.
“Coco and her far-reaching online marketing platforms will be the main promotional engine driving the brand,” he said. “Coco has over 8 million Facebook followers, and a million followers each on Twitter and Instagram. She also has her popular blog CocosWorld.com which she updates daily.”
At the photo shoot, the company says Austin got candid about her concepts, dishing about working out in stilettos, tanning in see-through lingerie, and the versatility of her new line.
“You can really wear this,” she said. “This is about getting lingerie to the streets!”
