S.F. Nonprofits to Hold Spanking Contest at Premiere of ‘Marriage 2.0’

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco premiere of the independent film “Marriage 2.0” on May 2 will feature a spanking contest between two local sexuality nonprofits.

The spanking contest will feature Carol Queen, founder of the Center for Sex and Culture, and Cyd Nova, program director for St. James Infirmary.

A percentage of proceeds from the film screening and fundraiser benefit St. James Infirmary for sex workers and the Center for Sex & Culture. Additionally, ticket purchasers have been able to donate extra to either organization, which will result in the director of the nonprofit raising the most money spanking their counterpart on stage.

“There will be no losers in this competition since both nonprofits are good friends and happy to share the wealth and the spanks,” Queen said. “We at the Center for Sex & Culture are so grateful to be able to participate in this great event.”

“We are so excited to see this movie, the result of the hard work of people in our beloved community of sex workers,” Nova added. “St. James Infirmary, which has provided healthcare and advocacy for the adult industry for 15 years, and I are excited to be a beneficiary of this event along with CSC, our sisters in promotion of a world without shame of people’s sexualities.”

Produced by LionReach Productions, “Marriage 2.0” features adult entertainment stars such as India Summer, Ryan Driller, Dylan Ryan, Nina Hartley and Mickey Mod, along with appearances from internationally renowned sex and relationship experts, such as Emily Morse, Chris Ryan, Marcia Baczynski, Carol Queen, and Reid Mihalko.

The film includes sexual performances mixed with dramatic narrative as it follows a couple (India Summer and Ryan Driller) on their search for personal freedom, as well as emotional and sexual bliss within the context of an honest and committed modern relationship.

The film has received much acclaim in recent weeks, earning Movie of the Year honors at Feminist Porn Awards in Toronto on April 17. In addition, the un-rated version of the film, which received the Best Narrative award at New York’s CineKink Film Festival last month, premiered Feb. 26 on AdamAndEveTV.com, an Adam & Eve property powered by GameLink.com.

The “Marriage 2.0” screening will be held at 7 p.m. on May 2 at the Victoria Theatre, 2961 16th St. The evening will begin with red carpet arrivals, a VIP party, and the screening at 8:30 p.m. A question-and-answer session will follow featuring Hartley, Summer, Driller, Mod, Ryan, Andre Shakti, sex educator Chris Ryan, director Paul Deeb and writer Magnus Sullivan. Queen will moderate the Q&A. General admission tickets cost $15 and are available to purchase through EventBrite.com. VIP tickets are $40.
