ASACP Ready for XBIZ Miami, Continues its Industry Outreach

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return to the annual XBIZ Miami event, scheduled for June 1-4 at Miami’s exclusive SLS South Beach Hotel.

According to its promoters, XBIZ Miami is the digital media industry’s top event of the summer, bringing together top decision-makers from across the U.S., Canada and Europe for three days of business-networking and deal-making opportunities.

“XBIZ Miami attracts a diverse group of adult business owners and decision makers, providing an excellent opportunity for the association to educate those operators that are able to make a substantial difference in improving online child safety,” explains ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning. “By building relationships with these executives, ASACP can deliver its message while detailing the association’s Best Practices, Code of Ethics, and the tangible benefit of using the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website labeling system, which prevents minors from accessing adult-oriented websites and mobile apps.”

To help spread the word about the association’s mission of keeping children out of, and away from, adult entertainment, ASACP has been given an advertisement in the event’s show guide and a table at the Mix & Meet, courtesy of XBIZ Miami’s promoters.

Because it is a non-profit organization, ASACP’s industry outreach relies on sponsorships, membership fees and the contributions it receives from the stakeholders it represents. Without this ongoing support, its good work would not be possible — illustrating the power of proactive action by industry leaders who are dedicated to doing the right thing — by taking a stand in the fight to keep adult content in the hands of adults only.

Henning will be on hand to meet with business owners and to moderate an executive legal session featuring noted adult entertainment and First Amendment attorneys Corey Silverstein and Larry Walters. The session, entitled “Adult Under Attack,” is set for Wednesday, June 3, from 2-2:50 p.m., and will include valuable information on how adult entertainment companies can help protect themselves by protecting children.
