Jake Deckard Named NakedSwordsman 2007

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay video-on-demand site NakedSword has anointed Jake Deckard as the 2007 Naked Swordsman. Deckard will serve as the face for the company at trade shows and consumer events.

Deckard replaces 2006 NakedSwordsman Owen Hawk, co-founder of Dark Alley Media. Past winners include Ben Jakks and Marcus Iron.

Each month NakedSword selects a gay male performer to honor as its Dream Team Man of the Month. The selected star is featured via an extended biography, desktop wallpapers, downloadable content and photos. At the end of the year, NakedSword selects one of the 12 models as its Man of the Year.

“We look at a lot of different facets of a porn star before naming a NakedSwordsman,” NakedSword President Tim Valenti said. “We want someone who has worked with a variety of studios, has an affable public demeanor and represents something unique in this sea of new faces each year. Jake’s rugged, masculine ideal that owes as much to the Jim French COLT aesthetic as it does to the modern day renaissance of sexy, hairy men associated with studios like Mustang, Raging Stallion and Buckshot.”

As a performer, Deckard has starred in big-budget releases from Titan Media and Raging Stallion; in fact, Raging Stallion named Deckard as the 2006 Raging Stallion Man of the Year. Deckard signed on behalf of NakedSword at the Adult Entertainment Expo.

“I used to be uneasy with the idea that people are still animals and that I was indeed having [sex],” Deckard said. “Now the more primal the sex feels and looks to me, the better.”
