Isabella de Santos Makes Directorial Debut for Airerose

LOS ANGELES — Isabella de Santos told XBIZ she has wrapped principal photography on “Pure Bush,” her directorial debut for the 2015 XBIZ Best New Studio Airerose Entertainment.

“I’m really excited, it went great,” de Santos said. “I have a great cast and luckily I have a great team to back me up with this, too.”

She said the title of the flick is no coincidence.

“It’s all about the bush in this movie,” de Santos explained. “I have a bush, I love bush. Why not take advantage of being a little bit of a freak on camera and explore the bush more?”

No argument here.

Her cast features Valentina Nappi, Sarah Shevon, Allie Haze, Mick Blue, Bill Bailey, Steven St. Croix, Ralph Long and Ramon Nomar.

De Santos paired Haze with Blue; Nappi with St. Croix and Long; Shevon and Bailey; and she took on Nomar herself.

“Everyone was really happy and comfortable,” she said. “They all wanted to give me a great scene.”

A native of Miami who started doing porn just over a year ago, de Santos said she had been waiting for an opportunity to get behind the camera “since forever.”

She said she started learning about the production side of the business as a cam girl at Bang’s Naked.com studio in Miami, where she began building a fan following doing naughty live shows four years ago. Bang actually shot her first girl/girl scene.

“I always had the opportunity to see them work. It was inevitable that I would pick up on everything and learn. So when I was offered this opportunity it was like a dream come true,” de Santos said.

She was not even two weeks into doing porn last year when she first stepped onto an Airerose set, performing in “Raw Talent.” She returned for “Raw Talent 2,” sharing the box cover with Kylie Rogue. Then she appeared solo on the box cover of  “Horny Online Hook Ups” and also did “Anal Auditions” for Airerose.

“I’m just happy to be with them. It’s such a great opportunity,” she said.

Now a veteran of more than 25 movies for studios such as Jules Jordan Video, Evil Angel, Digital Playground, Red Light District, Lethal Hardcore and Magma, de Santos said performing is excellent preparation for directing.

“I think it’s definitely an advantage,” she reasoned. “You actually have your hands in there and you’re doing it, so as a director you know more or less what you like and what you don’t like. What I like when I’m talent is when I feel comfortable and that’s what I want to create as a director.”

De Santos said she remains open to different kinds of porn, but that “girl/girl is my No. 1.”

In “Pure Bush,” the premise is simple: de Santos decides to throw a huge party at her house and invite all the girls she knows with bushes.

“It’s a bush party,” de Santos joked. “Each girl has a tease and I’m also interviewing them and showing off their bush before the sex.”

She said she wanted to personally work with Nomar because of how hot their anal scene was for Jules Jordan Video’s “Wet Asses 5.”

“He’s a great performer. One of my favorites scenes is from that movie,” de Santos said.

She'll take a wait-and-see approach with “Pure Bush" and possibly directing for the studio again.

“Let’s see how the fans react. I have some really good, positive vibes about it,” de Santos said. “I’m just excited about this. They’re such a bangin' company. I love their work.”

Although her directing debut has been her “baby” in recent weeks, she also has found time to shoot for Penthouse, Toni Ribas, Jonni Darkko and Girlfriends Films on her current trip to L.A.

De Santos sold prescription sunglasses at a mall in Miami before venturing into adult.

“They were a big distributor of sunglasses of all kinds of styles,” she revealed.

Half Colombian and Peruvian, she was raised partly in Colombia and Miami, where she graduated from high school. Off to a strong start, now she plans to see where her porn career takes her.

“I am very committed to this. I foresee my future as a very positive one,” de Santos said. “It’s been a year and I can’t say that I can complain. It’s been fun and I believe it’s a big accomplishment to be where I am right now in just a year. I feel very fortunate and very lucky.”

“Pure Bush” will be released in September.
