Australian Authorities Seize 900 Porn Videos, Charge Store Operators

ALBERTON, Australia — Police here searched an adult bookshop and seized about 900 sexually explicit videos that were deemed to have been “unclassified.”

Two men who operated the store were detained and ordered to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date, according to Perth Now. They were charged with possessing and selling unclassified and X18+ films.

Under Australia’s Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Act of 1995, a person must not sell an unclassified film that would, if classified, be classified RC or X18+.

The offense carries a maximum penalty of $10,000.
