LOS ANGELES — Wicked Comix has announced that Axel Braun’s most ambitious superhero picture to date, "Batman v Superman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody," is now in stores.
The gatefold sleeve-encased, two-disc set has arrived nearly one year before audiences get to see Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill battle it out on the big screen. As part of the title’s roll-out, Gawker Media’s popular science fiction and fantasy website io9.com is hosting an exclusive preview of the film. The safe-for-work clip may be viewed here.
The second release from the new Wicked Comix imprint, (following "Barbarella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody"), "Batman v Superman XXX" finds Giovanni Francesco, Ryan Driller and Brendon Miller reprising their roles as Batman, Superman and The Joker. The female cast is toplined by Kleio Valentien as Harley Quinn, Alison Tyler as Wonder Woman, Britney Amber as Maxima, Carter Cruise as Supergirl and ABP contract girl Aiden Ashley as Catwoman.
"Batman v Superman XXX" has already received pre-release coverage from MTV UK, Perez Hilton, Digital Spy, The Daily Star and more. Following a screening of the movie at the University of California, Santa Barbara, a SFW trailer was released on YouTube, where it quickly garnered nearly 450,000 views in just two weeks.
“It’s really awesome to get all this attention and praise for something that I’m so proud of,” Braun said. “I was extremely passionate about this movie, and my cast and crew totally shared my enthusiasm. Ryan Driller, who has now played Superman for me five times, has developed a deep understanding of the character, and delivered a nuanced, powerful, award-worthy performance. Aiden Ashley repeatedly cried on command during a particularly emotional scene, and Kleio Valentien literally brought to life Harley Quinn. The days of making fun of porn for the bad acting are gone, if you ask me, and I’m thrilled to be directing actors who really care about the craft."
