Private has relaunched its site as a “one-stop portal” for customers seeking premium adult content, in what the company called the first phase of an aggressive new marketing strategy.
Private demonstrated the new site for adult entertainment industry professionals at the XBIZ Hollywood ’07 Industry Conference.
“The key objective when planning and building our new website was to increase conversion rates by more effectively marketing our products to site visitors prior to them making a purchase,” Private Media Group's director of online media Fiona Garvey said.
According to Garvey, the marketing efforts include allowing visitors access to a searchable movie and star database — with links to images and video clips — and building relationships with users via interactive features such as polls, blogs and forums.
Garvey added that Private is in the process of consolidating its different websites and revenue streams into a single-branded experience.
“We are extremely pleased with the result, and following the soft launch last week we have seen a significant increase in both conversion rates and time spent by visitors on the site,” she said, adding that feedback from users and webmasters on the new site has been very positive.
Private used in-house engineers and artists to redesign the site, adding a more user-friendly navigation interface. The site also allows customers to view video-on-demand and live streaming content. There also is a download-to-own option.
