ASACP Honors its Featured Sponsors for September 2015

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of September, 2015.

According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, September marks “Back to School” season, when many students are given their first computer, which is often required for their schoolwork and homework — chores that may take place beyond the gaze of parents, school administrators, librarians and other stakeholders in youth development.

“Schools foster curiosity on the part of students,” Henning stated. “Unfortunately, this level of curious exploration won’t end when a child’s supervised Internet use ceases, it begins there.”

By following proactive initiatives such as adhering to the ASACP Code of Ethics and market-specific Best Practices, online organizations offering age-restricted wares make a difference in the global campaign to maintain the innocence of youth.

“ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program is designed to recognize the achievements of those companies that have demonstrated a desire to protect themselves by protecting at-risk kids,” Henning added. “By doing the right thing, these business owners are setting an example that is worthy of being followed by all companies operating in the online and mobile arenas.”

Honoring its generous Featured Sponsors for September, ASACP thanks 7 Veils Media, Gamma Entertainment, and Fleshlight for their ongoing sponsorship of the association.

7 Veils Media
A Title Sponsor since 2013, 7 Veils is the premier social media marketing firm for the adult entertainment industry. The company builds Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus strategies to integrate with a client’s overall marketing campaign, and assists ASACP in broadening and refining its social media initiatives.

“The adult industry is a leader in child protection and advocacy and it is 7 Veils privilege to be the social media outlet for this important work,” 7 Veils CEO Lauren MacEwen explains. “7 Veils chose ASACP specifically because we deeply value a need to protect our children from sexual exploitation, be it overt or subtly concealed, and 7 Veils is proud to provide the social media management for this extremely important organization.”

MacEwen is the 2015 Recipient of the ASACP Service Recognition Award.

Gamma Entertainment
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2006, Montreal-based Gamma Entertainment illustrates the commitment that the online adult entertainment industry’s most prominent players make to keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment.

According to the company, Gamma has grown from a home-based business with a single website to become a major force in the adult industry, boasting nearly 60 full time employees. Gamma attributes its growth to the use of cutting edge technology and adherence to four basic principles: honesty, respect, reliability, and an up-front way of doing business that has been the bedrock of its success.

Gamma demonstrates its leadership by using the RTA website meta-label to protect its sites and by donating rack space for two ASACP-owned servers located in the Gamma data center — providing useful material and technical support, as well as financial aid for the association.

Fleshlight
Also honored this month is Fleshlight and its parent Interactive Life Forms, LLC, a leader in the field of sexual health and fulfillment, which has also been an ASACP Sponsor since 2007 — and during this time, has served as a positive example for other adult novelty companies.

In an era where vibrators have been championed as a means for female sexual freedom and enjoyment, male sex products have remained something of a dirty, unwanted cousin to their female counterparts. According to Fleshlight, by providing a high quality, discreet and tasteful product, it hopes to help change these perceptions and to bring the topic of male sexuality into the public discourse, with a focus on providing adult novelties to adults only.

September’s Featured Sponsors show how a range of companies, from social media firms to adult content sites, and tech-forward novelties, demonstrate their corporate leadership through support of ASACP’s mission to protect children from exposure to age-inappropriate materials — and keeping minors out of and away from adult entertainment, products and services.
