Mark's Bookmarks Sold to Platinum Bucks

TORONTO – Mark’s Bookmarks, one of the longest running free adult sites on the Internet, has been sold to Platinum Bucks owner Platinum Dave, who told XBIZ that he paid “in the low seven figures” to acquire the site.

Platinum Dave said that Mark’s Bookmarks is a huge traffic source, registering close to 2.5 million hits per day off of more than 550,000 uniques according to SexTracker.com March 12 daily page ranks.

Platinum Dave’s plan for Mark’s Bookmarks is to turn the site into an adult community portal.

“I’m trying not to tip the boat too much at first to preserve the surfers experience,” Platinum Dave said. “I’m aiming to turn the site into more of a portal with chats, reviews, and other sticky activities. It will be a slow transition.”

One of the first changes Platinum Dave made to Mark’s Bookmarks was to put up links to his company’s video-on-demand service, Adult Rental. Additionally, he added links to Platinum Bucks’ free hosted galleries to drive more traffic to the program.

Chris, aka Xapster, and Cameron are strategic partners in the venture.
