LOS ANGELES — Dreamgirl International has launched a new collection of hanging and packaged lingerie, night-out dresses, and dance wear for the 2016-2017 season.
According to the company, the new catalog sets the mood for the lingerie collection with a story of a woman depicted “confidently gazing at her reflection on the catalog’s front cover alongside her submissive alter ego shown in an edgy, brow-raising fetish image on the back cover.”
The catalog features new and best-selling styles shot against bright and clean backgrounds with closer image crops.
Speaking to the trends and merchandising of the collection, Dreamgirl Executive VP of Merchandising and Design, Susan Feldman, said, “Our array of exciting new design concepts — with a focus on salable lingerie — have been influenced by key international runway shows. From sexy to romantic, our inspirational new collection features retro-inspired ‘vintage’ silhouettes and colors, surprising zipper details, a chic mix of fishnet and lace, and dramatic back detailing, including the use of dangling chains!”
Among the highlights from Dreamgirl’s newest collection is a new color palette that includes styles in lavender, magenta and pink varieties. Dreamgirl also has pieces featuring exposed zippers — a style trend adopted from the runway, the company says.
Dreamgirl also has added new retro-inspired designs that feature high-waisted silhouttes, exposed upper midriffs and jacquard and lace fabrications.
The new Red Diamond collection of bedroom costumes also was expanded to include new styles and novelty accessories such as rules, glasses feather ticklers and more. New Red Diamond packaged fetish lingerie also was added.
Dreamgirl’s Purple Diamond “Night Out Collection” debuted new bodycon styles with strappy asymmetrical details, lace peek-a-boos, multi-way wear capabilities, and body-hugging ruched detail. The styles come in S, M, L sizes and wholesale between $13.95 and $14.95.
The company says its new carryover styles are ready to ship immediately while new styles will begin shipping Nov. 30.
