LOS ANGELES — Adult star Nikki Phoenix and her EDM duo partner JackEL have begun collaborating with Chip E., who was dubbed the "Godfather of House" by Street Mix Magazine.
Phoenix's announcement comes a day before she'll return to SEMA, where she'll meet and greet fans this week for Accele Electronics at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Credited with being the first person to use the terms "house" and "jack" in his songs, Chicago native Chip E.'s first release "Jack Trax" is one of the most coveted early house music releases. An active DJ, Chip still performs in the U.K. and Italy and also works with renowned artists such as Michael McDonald, Fleetwood Mac, Prince, The Dead, and The Black Eyed Peas.
“I couldn't be more excited,” Phoenix said. “It really is a testament to how far our music, our label and our relevance has come in the last year for a legendary artist and producer like Chip E. to reach out to us and for him to be working on new material together with us as well as having us remix his music and be remixing ours at the same time.
“Both JackEL and I couldn't be more flattered with that. While it's been so amazing and special to have the support of our fans, it's even more special when artists of Chip's caliber support and respect us as well. I can't wait to see all of the big things that are happening for us this coming year!"
Chip is the first and only Chicago house music artist to be in regular rotation on all three major Chicago radio stations (WBMX, WGCI-FM and B96); in addition, he co-produced renowned DJ/producer Frankie Knuckles' first record “You Can’t Hide."
His feature-length documentary is titled “The UnUsual Suspects - Once Upon a Time in House Music.”
Phoenix's latest JackELd Phoenix single “Days Like This” has now hit 2.2 million plays on Soundcloud. The song was featured in their headlining set at Las Vegas Hempfest on Oct. 3.

Phoenix is signing again at SEMA this week for Accele Electronics, the 12 volt and accessory supplier which offers various mobile video systems.
"With Nikki becoming so well known not just within our industry, but also the mainstream market space, we jumped at the chance to take advantage of her again and have her sign at our booth,” said Brian Paille, national sales manager for Accele Electronics. “Not only is she friendly and easily approachable for our clients and buyers, but she also knows our products well and represents us and our brand extremely well because of her passion for vehicles and her previous experience in the 12 volt market with other leading brands."
Phoenix will be signing Tuesday through Thursday starting at 9 a.m. at Accele Electronics booth #11617.
