MiKandi Interviews NSFW Games Founder Mike Avery

SEATTLE — Adult app store MiKandi interviewed NSFW Games founder Mike Avery, the developer behind Glory Hole Arcade, as part of their featured creators series.

Avery explained that he works mostly solo, since it's "tough to find collaborators on adult games," but he was pleased with artist Penerotic, who "had the right filthy style" to fulfill his vision.

In the past, he has "made a few other games as an indie" and learned about "what works and what doesn't in a sex simulator" during his time with thriXXX, a provider of interactive sex games. Avery also runs a review site called Sex Game Reviews.

Glory Hole Arcade is the first adult game that he has published and he created it in the Unity engine, blending 2D and 3D elements with Maya and Photoshop. The "whack-a-mole" arcade-style gameplay takes place in a glory hole setting.

His original idea for the game, which he plans to revisit in the future, had stronger RPG elements. "You start out living in the back room of an adult bookstore and work your way through life trying to upgrade to better shifts and eventually getting an education or hitting the streets," Avery said. "It was actually kind of bleak and humorous at the same time. I worked on that for a while and finally made the decision to scope the game back as it was going to take too long to complete."

"Stroke, suck and swallow your way to orgasmic high scores in this new arcade game from NSFW Games," reads the Glory Hole Arcade description page on MiKandi. "The naughty, fun and addictive gameplay will keep you laughing and squirting over and over again.

"Rack up sticky bukkake bonuses and avoid workplace hazards while you service an endless supply of sleazy patrons," it continues. "If you pleasure them just right you can earn powerupper tips and might even get the mythical solid gold butt plug!"
