Kink Shoppe Celebrates 2016 XBIZ Award Nomination

PHILADELPHIA — Celebrating its three-year anniversary of peddling sexual pleasure, health and education, Kink Shoppe has been named a finalist for “Boutique Retailer of the Year” at the adult industry’s awards event of the year, the 2016 XBIZ Awards.

Nominees for the 2016 XBIZ Awards were selected based on a record 8,800 pre-nominations submitted by members of the industry through XBIZ.net.

“This has been a tremendous year for our small boutique,” says Kink Shoppe Owner Fred Hovermann. “We have expanded not only our selection of body-safe toys and BDSM gear, but also our educational outreach, spearheaded by our ‘50 Trades of Grey’ book exchange program.”

According to Hovermann, Kink Shoppe, located at 126 Market Street in Philadelphia, opened on Dec. 1, 2012, and specializes in high-quality, body-safe adult intimacy and fetish products, catering to those interested in expanding and enhancing their personal pleasure and intimacy experiences while maintaining and promoting a healthy, sex-positive culture. The shoppe is committed to educating its customers through regular classes and workshops, with the full schedule available at KinkShoppe.com.

“Topping this year off, we are beyond thrilled to be nominated for a 2016 XBIZ Award,” Hovermann adds. “As a young and growing small business, just being recognized with a nomination in this extensive and diverse industry is an honor. We’re looking forward to an even more progressive 2016.”

Presented by LiveJasmin, the 2016 XBIZ Awards Show takes place on January 15 at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

A star-studded red carpet affair that attracts the industry elite, the XBIZ Awards show recognizes outstanding achievements across every facet of the multibillion-dollar business, including movie production, pleasure products, technology and retail.
