SHE L.A. Preview: Elle Chase Tackles Body Image

LOS ANGELES — Positive body image is a hot topic in the world of sexuality and writer and sex and intimacy coach Elle Chase tackles the controversial subject with spot-on advice in her workshop “Big, Beautiful Sex: Body Image and Sexuality” at the upcoming Sexual Health Expo (SHE) in Los Angeles on Jan. 16-17, presented by Sex Ed Sponsor The Pleasure Chest.

Chase asks, who says a person has to be skinny to have the best sex of their life? Whether it’s media and advertising images of “perfect” bodies or snarky comments about weight, fat shaming is all around us, and it can get in the way of sexual confidence and pleasure.

In her workshop (appropriate for all body image issues), the sexpert combines lecture and discussion, and will talk about attitudes (both external and internal) that can hold people back from great sex and the specific challenges faced by plus-sized lovers. SHE guests will learn skills — from communication tools to the best toys, techniques and positions — all designed to help people embrace their sexuality and have “big, beautiful sex.”

“With the successful buzz from last year's Sexual Health Expo, I expect a large audience of newbies and a lot of last year’s attendees returning for more diverse and expert info.  From the well-curated list of educators that the Pleasure Chest always provides, I'm sure everyone will come away inspired, informed and enlightened," Chase said.

She added, "SHE is the only large sexual health event for the general public that melds sex education and pleasure products. The consumer that arrives interested in learning more about sex, can then, not only get advice from the speakers, but also have the opportunity to browse and potentially purchase recommended products. It's a unique and advantageous occasion that might make it just a little bit easier for the attendee to talk about sex in their every day life."

Tickets to the show are now on sale, courtesy of Registration Sponsor We-Vibe. For more information, visit SexualHealthExpo.com.
