SHE L.A. Preview: Tristan Taormino Opens Up on Open Relationships

LOS ANGELES — Always frank and provocative, writer, sex educator and filmmaker Tristan Taormino is set to spice things up at the upcoming Sexual Health Expo (SHE) in her talk “Designing Your Open Relationship,” presented by Sex Ed Sponsor The Pleasure Chest on Jan. 16-17 in Los Angeles.

Consumers considering an open relationship won’t want to miss this compelling interactive workshop where Taormino offers practical advice on how to craft responsible, fulfilling nonmonogamous relationships.

The sexpert and author of “Opening Up,” Taormino will explore common myths, real-life benefits and challenges, and help people how to decide if an open relationship is right for them. She will share some of the most common styles of open relationships — from partnered nonmonogamy to solo polyamory — and discuss how to customize them to meet individual needs and wants. Through creative processes, attendees will learn to articulate what they want, identify and negotiate limits and boundaries, communicate with their partner(s) in productive ways, and create relationships that work.

“I'm thrilled to be returning to SHE for its second year in L.A. since last year I had such a great time. What I loved most last year was the diverse crowd that showed up for my class. I look forward to meeting lots more open-minded folks in search of better sex and relationships,” Taormino said.

The author of eight books on sexuality including “The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women,” “The Ultimate Guide to Kink,” and “The Secrets of Great G-Spot Orgasms and Female Ejaculation,” Taormino is well equipped to coach show guests on this progressive and controversial topic. She is also the director, producer and host of two dozen sex education movies for “Vivid-Ed,” the instructional line she created and helmed for Vivid Entertainment.

Tickets to the show are now on sale, courtesy of Registration Sponsor We-Vibe. For more information, visit SexualHealthExpo.com.
