Ted Cruz Takes Down Ad Featuring Porn Star Amy Lindsay

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Softcore porn star Amy Lindsay last night on Twitter said she was “extremely disappointed that the Ted Cruz campaign pulled the national TV spot she had a role in.

Cruz’s campaign pulled its most recent ad, “Conservatives Anonymous,” after learning one of the actors in the spot includes Lindsay, a porn star who has starred in such films as “Kinky Sex Club,” “Carnal Wishes,” “Erotic Confessions,” “Secrets of a Chambermaid” and “Insatiable Desires.”

Lindsay, however, in recent days has worked as an actress, casting director, producer and production manager as well as doing voice-overs.

Cruz’s ad, which was set at a therapy session of conservative voters who feel betrayed by Marco Rubio on immigration, featured the  porn star playing the part of a woman telling another member, “Maybe you should vote for more than just a pretty face next time.”

After learning of Lindsay’s porn past, spokesman Rick Tyler said in a statement that the campaign is taking the ad down.

“The actress responded to an open casting call. She passed her audition and got the job. Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the production company,” Tyler said. “Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad.”

Lindsay told BuzzFeed, which first reported the news of the takedown, that she is currently deciding whether to support Cruz or Donald Trump for president.
