TORONTO — Lace.ca has released its lingerie sales statistics for 2015 and ranked Canadian provinces by lingerie purchases.
The company said it looked at the provinces in Canada based on population census data (18+) and ranked them according to sales per capita. Based on sales over a one-year period (Jan.1 to Dec. 31, 2015) the top three provinces whose residents spent the most on lingerie were Alberta, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Prince Edward Island came in close with fourth place. Quebec came in last at 10th place.
The most popular colors in lingerie across the country were black, red and pink, Lace.ca reports. Some of the most popular products were from the Dress Up and Role Play category, although body stockings and baby dolls also were popular as well, according to Lace.ca.
