Exotic Dancer, Adult Star Natasha Vega Passes Away

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Exotic dancer Natasha Vega (Shay Whetzel), who appeared in 35 adult films from 2011-2015 according to IAFD.com, has reportedly passed away at the age of 25

"Now that her entire family has been notified it saddens me to let the world know that last night my roommate and one of my best friends Shay Whetzel / Natasha Vega passed away," posted Amber Yeisley on Facebook. "She had a heart of gold and a smile that would brighten any room. I will be making the arrangements for her memorial in South Florida. I will keep everybody updated. Love you Vega. RIP."

Her passing prompted an outpouring of sympathy and support on social media.

"A true tragedy, she was a very sweet young lady," posted Porno Dan Leal on Facebook.

"Today our thoughts are with the family and friends of Natasha Vega," posted Al's Diamond Cabaret on its Facebook page. "Natasha (Shay), was a lovely, vibrant person, and we are happy to have met her and will remember her visits to Al's fondly. RIP Natasha Vega."

HotMovies tweeted, "Sending love and support to friends and family of Natasha Vega. So sorry to hear that she's passed away." 

Xcitement Magazine posted a 2013 photo of Vega as its cover model on Facebook, with the following caption: "It is with saddest of hearts that we mourn the passing of Natasha Vega. Over the years we had the pleasure to work and party with her, to take many many photographs, to be part of her career and most of all to enjoy her wonderful smile. So tragic. So sad. We will share other photos later. Her magazine cover made Natasha happy."

"We are sad to hear the passing of one of the adult industry greats!" posted RVA Adult Expo on Facebook. "Natasha Vega you will be greatly missed. We were honored by your presence. RIP Natasha Vega."

In 2012, Vega was named Miss Exotic Florida and won Newcomer Entertainer of the Year at the Exotic Dancer Awards. She was also nominated for the 2014 NightMoves Awards in the category of Best Body.
