LONDON — The Naked Truth Film Club will screen the film “UnSlut” at the Prince Charles Cinema in London on Mar. 24 at 3:30 PM.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A featuring feminist porn producer Pandora Blake; Charlotte Rose, a British dominatrix who has run for political office; Jerry Barnett of the Sex and Censorship Campaign; and Misha Mayfair of the Sex Workers Advocacy Committee. The Q&A will be moderated by Myles Jackman, a British attorney known for his expertise on UK obscenity law.
Terry Stephens, who designed the Naked Truth Film Club to challenge misinformation about sex and the adult industry, said, “Women in porn are often depicted as brainwashed victims, programmed to defend their male paymasters. This is slut shaming in full effect.”
Blake said, “Slut-shaming is punishing women for exercising their right to say ‘yes.’ When this stigma manifests against sex workers, it can cost women their lives. Consent is the only moral line.”
Barnett said, “Throughout history, sexually liberated women have been stigmatized. Prudery is back in fashion, and we must fight the sexual revolution all over again.”
Tickets for the screening are available on the ItsAdult.com website.
The Prince Charles Cinema is at 7 Leicester Pl., London WC2H 7BY.
