BOSTON — Berman Innovations CEO Stephanie Berman, creator of The Semenette and POPDildo, has been invited to participate in the Boston Geek Girl Tech Conference's Sharkette Tank event on Thurs., Apr. 7.
Sharkette Tank, in the vein of ABC's "Shark Tank," allows businesspeople to seek investors in the vein of ABC's "Shark Tank." Berman is one of 12 businesspeople invited to Sharkette Tank and the only creator of an adult product invited to pitch.
"It's a huge honor to be invited to this incredible event, and I am thrilled at the opportunity," Berman said. "I appreciate how open and receptive people are to my story and product and will be making a presentation that's not to be forgotten."
Geek Girl Tech Conference, held in several cities across the United States throughout the year, brings together hundreds of women and men to grow and sharpen their tech skills. With workshops, speakers and seminars, Geek Girl Tech Conference is sponsored by numerous tech and marketing firms, including Microsoft, HubSpot and General Assembly.
The 8th Annual Boston Geek Girl Tech Conference will be held on Apr. 7 at the Microsoft New England Research and Development Center at 1 Memorial Dr., #1 in Cambridge, Mass.
"As a small business, I am always looking for investors to help me continue to grow my business and create new product lines," Berman said. "This event provides me with a keen opportunity to not only pitch to investors, but also, get invaluable feedback, which I genuinely appreciate."
A recent collaboration with German pleasure products manufacturer Fun Factory, POPDildo allows partners to mimic traditional intercourse through its proprietary inner tubing and pump system, complete with ejaculation - which sets it apart from both traditional dildos and party-style ejaculating toys.
