PARSIPPANY — Vicky Vette and Sunny Lane will be signing autographs and meeting fans at the Chiller Theater Expo this weekend. This will mark the first time either of them have appeared at the mainstream event, which will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Parsippany, N.J. from this Fri., Apr. 22-Sun., Apr. 24.
Although Vette has performed mostly in adult, she was also featured in the Indonesian horror movie "Pacar Hantu Perawan" and the independent horror movie "F*ckenstein."
"I am very excited to go to my first ever Chiller," Vette said. "It's completely different for me. Fans are already hitting me up on Twitter excited to go to the event. I will be dressing up in a different costume every day for fun. My biggest horror movie credit was shot for Indonesia, but it remains one of my career highlights. I still get asked about it because it was very controversial in that country. I am looking forward to mingling with the fans this weekend."
Lane is another adult star who has also been featured in some mainstream films, including "Chillerama," "Midgets vs. Mascots" and "Guido."
Lane said, "It's amazing with all the conventions I do every year around the country that I never have gone to a Chiller Theatre before. They are known for being a lot of fun. I have always enjoyed getting involved in mainstream projects and look forward to doing more in the future. This weekend in New Jersey should be a blast. Come out and meet us."
Mainstream stars scheduled to appear at the Chiller Theater Expo this year include, among others, Alice Cooper, Weird Al Yankovic, Meat Loaf, Piper Laurie, Kathleen Beller, Mickey Dolenz, Nana Visitor and Mackenzie Phillips. Cherie Curry, who performed alongside Lita Ford and Joan Jett in the late 1970s hard rock band the Runaways, will be performing live on Saturday night.
The Sheraton Parsippany Hotel is located at 199 Smith Rd.
