Cannes Film Festival to Screen 'Love in Porn' Documentary

CANNES, France — Director and producer Kseniya Yorsh has announced that her short documentary "Love In Porn," which is about building romantic relationships in the adult film industry, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

"Love In Porn" is an insider’s look into the romantic lives of those that succeed in the porn industry. The documentary takes an honest and human approach to "a medium that revels in false relations" and presents viewers with "the raw feelings towards love and romance from those who turn those very emotions off for work."

Porno Dan Leal, owner of Immoral Productions, stated, “I have had the pleasure of being the main character in a documentary about me which aired on Netflix and two seasons of a  TV series that has aired worldwide, but it is a true honor to be in a film which will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival. I [have] no doubt that 'Love in Porn' will engage and entertain the audience.”

Yorsh came to filmmaking with a degree in diplomacy, two years of business experience managing the office of an international company and a lifelong practice in writing. She explains that thoughts and curiosities about the world sent her on filmmaking journeys. Her previous documentary films were about the image of success versus the real journey to achieve it, perception of female beauty by men and women and cell phone addiction. With her current film, she is pushing her personal and filmmaking boundaries even more to look into "an exciting, yet closed, and hardly understandable world of the sex industry from the perspective of human yearning for relationships and love."

Dates of screening at the Marché du Film will be announced later. A trailer for the film is available here. Yorsh can be contacted at kseniya.yorsh@gmail.com.
