NEW YORK — Baseball star Lenny Dykstra was recently at Vivid Gentlemen's Cabaret in New York City promoting his new book, "House of Nails: A Memoir of Life on the Edge," to be released next week on Tues., Jun. 28. Dykstra, now 53, played for the New York Mets from 1985-1989 and the Philadelphia Phillies from 1989-1996.
"He's proud of his book, and he read some passages to the girls," said Vivid Cabaret New York girl Kimmie. "Oh, and we all gave lap dances to Lenny. I consider it probably the greatest book party ever — just the author and us girls on the Vivid Cabaret Roof Deck Lounge."
Ava, another Vivid Cabaret New York girl, said of Dykstra, "He's outrageous, and so is his book."
Vivid Cabaret New York girl Marilyn said, "It's shocking some of the things he did. It's an amazing book."
Jessica, also a Vivid Cabaret New York, said, "The book is so awesome. I think we should have two parties for Lenny Dykstra. We're taking him over to Rick's Cabaret New York next week so he can meet even more hot girls."
Vivid Cabaret New York is located at 61 W. 37th St. in Mid-Town Manhattan within walking distance of Penn Station and Madison Square Garden.
