LAS VEGAS — Former porn star Rebecca Love, now a mainstream filmmaker specializing in b-movies, has posted an open letter discussing current goals, including a softcore project titled “Frank-N-Stein.”
“I retired from adult XXX films in 2006 but held onto the b-Movie genre because I was addicted to making those type of movies,” Love said. “I liked being on set and having the community of friends. Between the cast and the crew, it was like going on vacation with your friends and getting paid."
In the open letter, Love discussed funding needs.
“I realized I am not getting any younger, and I love shooting these types of films,” Love said. “How could I at least try and make one and keep this type of genre alive? It was my bucket list challenge to make a Skinemax flick. I have no idea if I will succeed in the funding but I will figure out a way to accomplish this extreme goal of mine and at least say I gave it a shot. I just hope there is an audience still for this b-movie. I might love the genre, but do you?"
Love said of funding efforts, “This will be the biggest challenge yet of my career, and I hope people come along for the ride with me. I don't want to just make a movie; I want to create an adventure and make it fan based and interactive. You as the consumer, get to evolve this script with me thru voting and your input. The best part of this movie will be the experience."
