NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.— Doc Johnson this morning reported that it had a "slam-dunk" showing at the fall Sexual Health Expo (SHE), which took place at the Greenpoint Terminal in Brooklyn this past weekend.
Praised for its fresh approach by exhibitors, sex educators and consumers alike, SHE’s dynamic format has been touted by leading media outlets such as Cosmopolitan, CBS News, Vice.com, The Guardian, Playboy and Bustle, among others.
Doc Johnson COO and CCO Chad Braverman said that as a manufacturer, he doesn’t often get the chance to interact with the end consumer at this kind of scale, “which is one of the things that makes SHE such a great opportunity.”
“It’s very gratifying to see firsthand how our products are making a real difference in the sex lives of people from all across the nation,” said Braverman, who runs the California-based pleasure products company founded in 1976.
“We were blown away by the reception of our products at SHE — and we received incredibly positive reactions to virtually every single one of the products on display.”
Doc Johnson execs said that visitors to their booth raved about the exciting Doc Johnson products on display, including Tryst and the OptiMALE Rechargeable Vibrating C-Ring, which were both recently featured in Cosmopolitan magazine.
The company also offered attendees a chance to win prizes via a spinning wheel, with prizes ranging from branded Doc Johnson swag to picking a toy from “Doc’s Box,” which contained a selection of various Doc Johnson pleasure products.
“We’re so proud of what we put together for SHE, and the results were incredible,” Doc Johnson visual merchandiser Krystal Silva said. "The BUZZ Liquid Vibrator had an especially strong impact — people kept coming back to our booth just to show it to their friends — as did our Tryst Massager.
“The insights we gained from SHE are invaluable to us, and we are thrilled at the overwhelmingly positive response we received from attendees,” she said.
