ExoClick Releases Open Source HTML5 Video Player

BARCELONA — ExoClick has announced the launch of Fluid Player, an advanced free and open source HTML5 video player that utilizes the HTML5 video tag to play online video files.

According to the company, video players are the most important pieces of software within the online adult industry, because they are used for playing content on membership sites, live cam and tube sites.

In many cases, publishers are still using Flash and old-tech video players that are not optimized for today’s demands.

Now, publishers can use Fluid Player as their go-to online video player.

Additionally, Fluid Player can monetize ad spots, optimized to work seamlessly with ExoClick’s pre-roll in-stream video ad format.

For full flexibility, the player is also usable with any video ad server, ad network or exchange.

Among its top features, Fluid Player offers multi-device and browser support, configurable skip and call to action buttons, and industry standard VAST compatibility, in a fully customizable player.

“ExoClick’s new free Fluid Player is the company’s contribution to the adult community,” ExoClick CEO Benjamin Fonzé explains. “It’s a cool, advanced video player that is very easy to implement.”

“We developed it using open source code and it is available to developers on GitHub,” Fonzé added. “Publishers and developers can contribute to and modify the code using CSS to totally customize the player and then share it with the rest of the GitHub community.”

Fluid Player can be downloaded here.
