X-Play's 'Not Traci Lords XXX' Lands 10 XBIZ Awards Nominations

LOS ANGELES — X-Play’s parody “Not Traci Lords XXX,” directed by Will Ryder, has received ten nominations in the 2017 XBIZ Awards, be held on Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles and hosted by Ron Jeremy.

The film takes a humorous look at 1980s porn and stars Lucy Tyler as Traci Lords, Carter Cruise as Samantha Strong, Cameron Dee as Amber Lynn, Courtney Shea as Ginger Lynn, Zoey Monroe as Bunny Bleu, Mia Austin as Nina DePonca, Angelina Chung as Kristara Barrington, Ashley Graham as Nina Hartley, Gaia as Mai Lin, Angel Del Rey as the fluffer and the late Natasha Vega as Christy Canyon.

"We couldn't be happier that our cast and crew has received so many important XBIZ award nominations, including two for Tom Byron — who actually dated Traci Lords back in the day and is one of the most important male actors of the early porn movie business," Ryder said. "I'm at a loss for words, but this might be the most historically significant adult movie since ‘12 Inches a Slave.’"

“Not Traci Lords XXX” also features Tyler Nixon as Tom Byron, Richie Calhoun as John Holmes, Kurt Lockwood as Jerry Butler, Jay Smooth as Jeff Styker, Eric John as Eric Edwards, Anthony Rosano as director Henri Pachard, Rick Garcia as director Freddie Lincoln, and Tom Byron as talent agent Jim South.

The film’s XBIZ Awards nominations are:

  • Parody Release of the Year: “Not Traci Lords XXX”
  • Director of the Year, Parody: Will Ryder
  • Best Actress, Parody Release: Lucy Tyler
  • Best Supporting Actor: Tom Byron
  • Best Non-Sex Performance: Tom Byron
  • Best Sex Scene, Parody Release: Lucy Tyler and Tyler Nixon
  • Best Sex Scene, Parody Release: Natasha Vega, Gaia and Eric John
  • Best Art Direction: “Not Traci Lords XXX”
  • Best Music Score: “Not Traci Lords XXX”
  • Marketing Campaign of the Year: “Not Traci Lords X

“Ten nominations is a huge number for one movie, and we are grateful to XBIZ for appreciating our hardcore history lesson," Ryder said. “It's an honor. It's like going to the Grammys and sitting next to Taylor Swift with Ariana Grande on my lap.”

Co-producer Scott David said, "Did you know Will Ryder actually recorded music soundtrack scores for porn movies starting back in 1983? He was around many of those big stars and directors and had quite an insight into the very early days of porn being shot and sold on Beta and VHS tape."

David said, "Never before has an adult movie starred today's young porn starlets playing the iconic porn legends from the early days of the VHS tape.
