50 Cent Endorses HEX Condoms, Sparks 400% Surge in Searches

SAN JOSE, Calif. — LELO says its innovative HEX condoms this week found an unexpected and organic fan in rapper 50 Cent.

The LELO mention appeared on the rapper’s Facebook page when he shared an OMG Facts article. “The multiple Grammy-winner shared his typically direct thoughts on the product, leading to several likes, comments and shares.

It led to an upsurge of search traffic and a record sales day for HEX on LELO.com, the company reports.

LELO CMO Steve Thomson said: “What a testament to the power of social media! To drive such a huge volume of interest from the back of a single Facebook post is amazing. While we of course would have liked an opportunity to make it clear that no condom is truly ‘unbreakable’ and so on, we can only welcome 50 Cent’s commitment to safe sex. The more condoms in the world, the better."

LELO was mentioned in the past by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Caitlyn Jenner and most recently was featured on reality TV show “WAGS Miami” on E! Entertainment, and was featured in a Hollywood movie named “Christmas Party” with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman.

50 Cent’s Facebook page currently has 37.5 million fans. Media attention continues to grow for HEX, which originally broke records when it broke its own crowd-funding goals on launch.
