HILLSBOROUGH, NC — AdamAndEve.com asked more than 1,000 adults if their partners were aware they owned sex toys.
Of those polled, 66 percent of the women and 54 percent of the men said their partners knew about their sex toys. Only 34 percent of the women versus 46 percent of the men did not let their partners know they had sex toys.
“Sex toys are wonderful to use alone or with a partner,” said Dr. Kat Van Kirk, adamandeve.com sexpert. “Instead of hiding your toy from your significant other, I’d suggest asking how your partner feels about incorporating a toy into your lovemaking. You may be pleasantly surprised. Sometimes shopping online together for a couples toy can help both of you feel less intimidated.”
Chad Davis, AdamAndEve.com director of marketing, said, “Adam & Eve is pleased to offer a variety of adult toys that range from mild to wild.”
The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of more than 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.
