Battleship Stance Launches DMCA Agent Services

PHOENIX — Battleship Stance today said that it is expanding its offerings by launching DMCA agent representation services.

Jason Tucker, an industry veteran and executive with Battleship Stance, said that the intellectual property management and consulting firm saw an “increased need for the industry to have an agent that can consistently and effectively manage DMCA notices from a company that can offer a clear understanding of the ever-changing landscape.”

A DMCA notice is one sent by a content owner or its agent pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and it requests under penalty of perjury that content be removed from a website.

Tucker said that Battleship Stance has tapped Michael Christian to coordinate the firm's DMCA agent services.

Christian is a 20-year technology veteran who has served as the copyright division director for various studios.

Christian can be reached at mike@battleshipstance.com; Tucker’s email address is jason@battleshipstance.com.
