HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It’s the kind of publicity money can’t buy.
Netflix is promoting the third season of the Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda comedy “Grace and Frankie” with a giant billboard at the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood.
On the billboard, Tomlin and Fonda are holding large purple vibrators with the tagline, “Good vibes.”
“Good vibes,” of course, is the shortened name of Good Vibrations, the nationwide sex toy and novelty chain, whose website address is GoodVibes.com.
The money-can’t-buy publicity with the billboard had Jackie Rednour-Bruckman, Good Vibrations' executive vice president, feeling ecstatic.
“Grace and Frankie rock,” Bruckman told XBIZ. “The show is a hilarious and brilliantly acted series. We love seeing two luminary legends like Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin prove that women are fierce and sexy and still doing more than just talking about sex in their golden years.”
Netflix’s comedy offers the antics of two friends whose husbands leave them for each other. Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston, Brooklyn Decker and Ethan Embry co-star in the series.
In its next season, Grace and Frankie launch a business together for female-centric sex toys, including vibrators and lube.
